Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers! I’m raising funds to build a dream mobility ride for a remarkable young man from my church, Ryan Michael “Peanut” Caldwell.
Peanut lives with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a progressive muscle-wasting disease diagnosed when he was 8. While DMD challenges his strength and mobility, it doesn’t define him. He’s an outgoing, hilarious firecracker—a Texas sports superfan, the basketball team’s manager, active at church, and the friend who turns any day into an adventure.
As DMD progresses, Peanut needs tools that fit him. The perfect solution: a Japanese Kei truck—compact, customizable, and built for his size and independence. Picture Peanut rolling up a powered ramp, locking his wheelchair into the driver’s position, and using adapted controls to hit a school game, church outing, or a spontaneous road trip. This is how we will use these funds!
We’re teaming up to make it real: Muddy Bottom Mini Trucks, ATX Custom Auto, Lone Star Kei, Japan Car Direct, Prodigy Audio, Rox Box, and more.
Costs: special equipment ~$15,000; base truck cost $8,500. Labor is donated. We’re aiming for $27,000 to cover parts, the truck, and safety extras—so it’s reliable and Peanut-proof.
This isn’t just a truck; it’s freedom, joy, and independence for a kid who lights up every room. If Peanut’s story moves you, please donate and share. Every dollar gets us closer to starting his engine.
Funding goal: $27,000
