Hi, my name is Jonnie and I am doing this GoFundMe for my mom as the youngest of her three daughters. My mom has always been so full of life. She is the type of person who would give you the shirt off her back or her last dollar. She has been our nurse, chauffeur, chef, house keeper, seamstress, hair dresser, and so much more than just a mom.
Back in November my family got the worst news anyone could ever imagine, that my mom had been diagnosed with stage 3B cervical cancer. During her first hospital stay we learned that she was inoperable with a tumor about the size of a lemon, blockages in her kidneys and two lymph nodes. The cancer had spread throughout her uterine wall and she has had to get a stent in her kidneys. She maxed out in radiation in her first treatment and is now being treated with an aggressive form of chemo.
My mom will always, for the rest of her life, live with pain from the cancer itself and complications/side effects caused from both radiation and chemo. The chemo has taken an effect on her hearing, making it difficult for her to hear at times. She is in constant pain throughout her body as a result of the treatment on top of preexisting pain. Her tumor sits against most of her internal organs near her lower abdomen causing constant discomfort, bladder pain, and hydronephrosis.
My mom is no longer able to work as she's still in treatment making her unable to spend much time outside of the house due to her physical weakness and the risk of germs. Her medical bills, other types of potential treatment bills, and household bills are an overwhelming financial burden on the family. As she cannot work every donation and bit of help we can get is significant and makes a difference. There is no such thing as a donation that is too small. Every dollar counts.
It hurts so much to see my mother go through this and not be able to do much to help. Im only a teenager in high school without time for a job as I need to be home to take care of my mom as often as I can. Starting this campaign is the least I can do to help her and I'm hoping you can help me help her. Even if you cannot donate please take the time to spread the word and share this campaign however you can. Any action taken to help my family and I will be greatly appreciated.
