Help me help Dennis Nyback!
Our good friend Dennis Nyback, one of the greatest film fanatics I know (let alone his nearly unparalleled zeal for classic American music and baseball), has cancer.
The very good news: it is treatable.
The bad news: his treatment is expensive.
Like many of us, scraping by is the norm, and Dennis’ expenses will far outstrip his ability to pay. He will need money for co-pays, high deductibles, and living expenses while he misses work shifts.
Beyond the mere fact that he is such a good friend (we met a few months shy of 40 years ago!) Dennis is a national treasure. I hope you feel even just a little bit the same as I do, and open your purse a bit to help him out in this needful time.
Consider it a donation to the cause of a Bad Bugs Bunny, or Scopitones, or Vaudeville on Film show, a new radio play, or a playlist of the best music you never heard before but now will never forget.
Dennis needs your help. The time is now. You can make no better use of your money. No matter how much you are able to donate, please help.
And, please, share this a thousand times over.
Thank you very much.
