help me help a neglected bearded dragon

hey y’all! i came across a pretty upsetting facebook marketplace listing in my community, and i’d love the opportunity to make a difference in this animal’s life. this individual is trying to sell an adult bearded dragon in what appears to be a ~40 gallon tank. nothing about this critter’s setup is appropriate, from the reptile carpet to the visible feces littering the tiny enclosure.

i would love to get this little dude under my care and into a proper 4ft by 2ft by 2ft (minimum, but hopefully even larger!) bioactive enclosure. i am a very experienced exotic animal keeper and have rescued several critters thus far. while i am well equipped to care for this beardie, the startup costs are a bit daunting, and it was recommended that i start a gofundme to hopefully get this guy out of the situation he is in.

i’m keeping the goal pretty low because i’m very good at sourcing supplies cheaply via marketplace, so i’m confident $500 will be more than enough!

if i am ultimately unable to raise enough to get him, all donated funds will be returned. if i am able to get him, expect plenty of updates once he is in a more suitable environment!
