Hi, my name is Robert and I have started this go fund me to give back to a local hero! There has been a lot of people that want to show appreciation and gratitude so I started this for that reason. With the hero he is he deserves all the blessings and kindness he may receive after risking his life to save a local disabled man ❤️ After talking with earnest about this he was reluctant but in the end gave me his blessing to do this and ALL of the proceeds will go straight to his personal account from go fund me.
His story is below:
Do you know this Springfield, Illinois Hero? He deserves more than an award!
This man saved a disabled, wheelchair-bound man from a train accident. Yesterday, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a disabled man became stuck on railroad tracks. As the guards came down signaling an oncoming train, this man sprang into action immediately. He sprinted across the parking lot of the local County Market on Second and Carpenter.
Ignoring the guardrails, this hero, exhibiting Samson-like strength, lifted the man and his wheelchair off of the ground and into the air. He then spun around as an Amtrak came barreling down the tracks. He offered his back to shield the disabled man from the Amtrak. Many people witnessed his heroism.
Once the train was gone, this man carried the man across the tracks and tried to leave. Individuals stopped him to acknowledge his bravery and took this picture. After a few kind words this hero left the scene in his red car.
Earnest recently had a drunk driver hit his parked car and leave the scene completely totaling it out. With the insurance not paying enough in todays market to cover another vehicle he was forced to get financed for another vehicle with his insurance check as partial payment. I would love to raise $3,000 so he can be free of the extra burden as it’s hard enough living in todays society. With the outpouring of appreciation and gratitude already seen I hope we can make this a reality ❤️ Thank you to all our local and national heroes as you have all shown us that there are still people in this rough world who care and it helps some of us restore our faith in humanity ❤️
