Hi, my name is Dixie and I’m a little yorkiepoo with a big heart. Not long ago, I had a scary accident when I tried to jump onto a chair, but I lost my footing and fell, breaking my ankle. My person rushed me to the emergency vet, and I’ve spent the past month in a cast and splint, hoping my leg would heal. But after all this time, we found out that my injury is too severe, and now my leg needs to be amputated. It’s been a tough journey for both me and my person, and I’m trying my best to be brave as I get ready for surgery and everything that comes after.

The costs for my care have been really hard for my person to manage. She just started law school, and between my emergency visit, surgery, aftercare, and all the doctor check-ups I’ll need, it’s a lot for us to handle alone. Every donation will help cover my medical expenses and give me the best chance to heal, adjust, and get back to wagging my tail and playing again.
