Hi everyone,
I’m not usually someone who asks for help. I tend to handle things myself and keep moving. But a friend has nudged me, a few times now, that I should reach out, so I’m finally listening.
At the beginning of October, I fell and injured my right ankle, severely damaging two tendons and found an older fracture I was not aware of. My orthopedic doctor confirmed that surgery is the only real way to get the stability and mobility back. It’s a necessary repair, not something I can just wait out, or expect to heal on it's own.
I do have insurance, but it only covers visits, diagnostics, and physical therapy — no surgeries of any kind. That leaves the full cost of the procedure, $5,189.00, due on the day of surgery.
This is more than I can take on alone right now. I’m not thrilled about asking, but the reality is I need some support to get this done and heal properly.
If you’re able to contribute or even share this, I’d truly appreciate it. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any help you’re able to offer.
With gratitude,
Dani
