I have been facing major medical issues since 2021, starting with Rhabdomyolysis that caused kidney injury. Since then, my health challenges have continued to grow. I’ve had a heart monitor implanted for Atrial Fibrillation, both shoulders replaced, and dental implants due to bone density issues I never knew about until I was 29. Through it all, I’ve remained the breadwinner for my family, caring for my 16-year-old son and my parents. I even bought their home so they could retire comfortably. Helping others has always been my priority, and I’ve never asked for help myself—until now.
The medical bills from surgeries and time off work have finally caught up to me. I’ve been off work for three weeks due to kidney issues, and more time away is coming soon. I’m on the waitlist for Vanderbilt, Johns Hopkins, and have an appointment at Cleveland Clinic for their Dysautonomia department. I’ve received diagnoses that no 35-year-old is prepared to hear, but every day I push myself to keep going. My body has finally stopped my forward momentum, and I struggle to get out of bed or stay awake for more than a few hours at a time. As a Finance Manager in the automotive industry, I’ve kept a demanding pace since I was 18, but now my body is simply giving out.
This is the first time I don’t have next month’s bills for mortgages and everything needed to care for my family. The funds raised will go toward medical bills, everyday expenses, both mortgages, insurance, co-pays, medicine, gas for doctor appointments, and keeping my family afloat while I heal and get back to work. Even if it’s just a dollar, your support means the world to me. I am the helper, not the one who typically needs or asks for help. I’ve donated to many GoFundMe causes over the years, and anything anyone can help with will be met with a personal thank you.
