Help Me Heal and Rebuild: Support My Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Scott, and I’m reaching out with deep humility and hope for your support as I begin a new chapter in my life.
Over the past few years, I’ve endured a series of deeply traumatic events—starting in the late stages of the pandemic. I was robbed, evicted, lost my mom and grandmother and was left navigating a cascade of painful circumstances that took a serious toll on my mental and emotional well-being.
At times, I’ve felt like a computer running too many programs at once—overloaded, overwhelmed, and unable to properly heal. In an effort to cope, I’ve turned to various substances, trying to self-medicate the pain and confusion. But now, I’m ready to truly face the root of my struggles and heal.
I’m entering the Victory Outreach San Bernardino Men’s Recovery Home Ranch, a program that offers structure, healing, and transformation. At 45 years old, I feel mentally and emotionally ready to fully commit to this process. I’m incredibly fortunate to have the guidance of wise mentors, like Pastor Anthony Farrell from my church, who are helping me stay grounded and focused on this new path.
After an extended period of deep struggle, anguish and frustration, without a clear path to solid ground, I’ve reached a point of surrender and have been offered what I believe is a golden opportunity to process and integrate the many valuable life lessons that were coming to me at a rate that felt like trying to drink out of a fire hose.
This is a very thorough program where I’ll be able to reflect, take inventory, prepare to make amends, grow and spend quality time in a rural environment without any online devices and without the pressures of everyday life in Los Angeles, so that I can re-regulate my nervous system, come back 100% with new perspective, clarity and a deep level of intent and conviction to correctly get my life in order with the confidence and determination to demand a higher standard for myself and never look back.
I’ve made a promise to myself and to my amazing roommates—who have been nothing but supportive—to leave with integrity and honor my commitment to give a full month’s notice.
That’s why I’m asking for your help.
I’m raising $985 to cover one month of rent and $400 for additional expenses so I can transition into the program with peace of mind. Any extra funds raised will go directly toward helping me rebuild my life after I complete the recovery program.
Every donation, no matter the size, is a step toward healing, stability, and a new beginning. Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with me as I take this leap of faith toward a better future.
With gratitude,
Scott Ingerson
