This is me. If you’ve ever been in trouble I’m the person that will be there to defend you, I’ve got your back, at times when I have had any money I was there to help you out with it, Those of you who know me, I’m a fierce advocate for the houseless folks, for my Black and Brown community, an activist, anti-racist, in fact one of the reasons why I work Door Dash is because I kept getting fired from conventional jobs for standing up and calling out injustice, and I got sick of getting fired so I just stuck with Door Dash. I got the label “complainer“ from one my last job from a company called the Outreach Team which is supposed to be a company fighting white supremacy, and they blacklisted me nationally so I could never apply to work for them again on any of their campaigns again despite being a high performer, because I called them out on their racism and transphobia at their San Francisco office in the summer of 2022. That’s a whole story in itself.
I do everything in my power to do the right thing, that’s a hard thing to do, but I do it anyway because I don’t know how to do anything else. And I believe that’s why the people that care about me, care about me. Because I’m authentic. I stand my ground. I walk my talk. And walking my talk yesterday got me punched in my face. When a full grown man was calling me a faggot, And it/he/she “go strap on your plastic dick” At a gas station in Gresham, OR because I told him not to “mansplain” to me how gas going into cars works he decided that was the perfect time to start into a trans phobic homophobic tirade. And when I grabbed my taser, he punched me directly in the face, gave me a concussion and fractured my nose. And when I was monetarily unconscious he tried to use my taser to tase me directly in the chest but luckily I came back to consciousness and was able to keep him from doing so, and then he left me there laying on the ground got up and I was able to get video footage of his car and his license plate and of him but but he took my taser as a trophy.
but the reason that I was at that gas station because I was filling up the tank of a loaner car from the dealership from where my own car was and I was going to pick it up because it was fixed because it had broken down sept 25th and I was already behind financially, when that happened.
Door Dash is not the most lucrative careers. And I took it to cheaper mechanic who couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it and in the meantime I was without work and days went by and I was making no money. And they finally told me there was nothing they could do and I had to have it towed to the dealership. I got it to the dealership they let me use a loaner, so I could work but then I was working to pay off to fix my car not to pay my rent which was quickly coming due, I had other bills as well, my car insurance, and I was feverishly trying to pay everything. But not working for that two weeks what was detrimental. It was not a vacation. Who can take a half a month off in this economy? Definitely not me.
My original bill was nearly $1100 to fix my car, but I begged the manager told him my situation and he was kind enough to give me a break on the bill and took off a couple charges. Which brought it down to $848
Then cut to filling up the tank of their car and then getting punched in the face and a concussion and a fractured nose and a non stop headache.
I have till Oct 23rd to pay rent or eviction proceedings will begin. I’m asking you to help me. Any amount you can help with would be greatly appreciated. Please and thank you.

update
as you can see I’ve reached my goal however I thought the go fund me wouldn’t take that much because they said they only take 2.9% but when I checked to see how much I would be receiving they’re taking more than $200 of the total amount which I was a bit shocked about, and their customer service is pretty terrible, which I’ve quickly discovered is not uncommon for others to experience as I looked at their ratings and they’re pretty terrible. So I’m asking folks to keep pushing forward and sharing this campaign as much as you can. It looks like I’m gonna need to go back to work even though I shouldn’t. My face is still pretty swollen but I really don’t have a choice at this point. I appreciate every single one of you thank you so much for the people that I know and the people that I don’t, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I know this is a very hard time for everyone considering the trauma that’s happening on the other side of the world, we are all being stretched emotionally, and the trauma that we’re all experiencing in our daily lives, I really really appreciate all of you that much more! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Please share this campaign and keep it going. I’m doing my best to heal as fast as I can. Much love!

UPDATE:
I just wanted to say again, to everyone that donated, you guys really blow my mind! Thank you, thank you, thank you! From the bottom to the top of my heart, you really saved me and I don’t know what I would’ve done, had you not not all pulled together and saved my Housing! Not only that, but you allowed me time to breathe, time to heal, time to go to therapy, and time to try to make sense of what has happened which honestly I don’t know that I’ll ever truly fully be able to comprehend that, but I know I never could have even been able to grasp it, without your love and support, so thank you! Every last one of you, whether you gave $10, or whether you gave 100, or whether you just shared, because all of it mattered. Even the people that just kept me in your heart I truly felt it. And the people that called me and sent messages of comfort and Support, I will never forget that either.
With so much love and gratitude, Winter ❤️
