A few years ago I underwent several ill-advised cosmetic procedures while visiting the states that unfortunately led to serious complications. The toll on my physical and mental health has been debilitating and includes permanent negative changes to my face and ongoing hormonal issues. I spent several years unable to work. I’m grieving the time I have lost and working hard to heal. I have found an incredible therapist who has had a wonderfully positive impact on my life. She has helped me unpack some of the mental health struggles and a long history of body dysmorphia and disordered eating that influenced my decision to undergo the procedures. I am tremendously grateful for her support in helping me get back on my feet and have just recently started working again, but the financial impact of the last few years has been a huge strain. After consulting with a number of practitioners I have been advised to pursue a revision surgery. Without this surgery, my health risks worsening and my recovery will continued to be delayed.
I am reaching out for help to cover the cost I have been quoted for surgery and post operative care so that I can finally regain my independence, confidence and start to heal fully.

It remains unknown if I would have been able to successfully make a medical negligence claim against the clinic that performed the procedures. Unfortunately, the statute of limitations has now expired as the procedures took place a little over three years ago. Having met a few people now in a similar situation to my own, I would do anything to help improve their quality of life if I had the means.
