Help G. go to Yale over the Summer
Donation protected
My name is G. Edward. My friends call me G. I’m 15 years old and I am in the 10th grade. Recently I was accepted to participate in a residential summer camp at Yale University through The Summer Institute for the Gifted. I need your help to attend. The costs is about $6,000.
If I am able to attend, the courses I will take will help me get one step closer towards my goal of becoming a doctor. One course I signed up to take is “Savy Surgeons Techniques and Practice”. In addition to hands on activities such as dissections, sutures and simulated surgeries, we will learn among other things about new technologies in medical and surgical breakthroughs and moral, legal and ethical responsibilities in medicine.
Another class that I am eager to participate in, due to my diagnosis of being Gifted and having Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder ( ADHD) and High Functioning Autistic, is “Brain Fitness: Increase Your Brain’s Plasticity”. We will study the brains ability to physically reorganize itself and study how other external changes help maintain the brain. We also get to participate in brain training exercises that improve aspects of cognition particularly focus and attention and discuss treatment methods to medical diseases that affect the brain.
Knowing about my disabilities and my gifted ability. I hope you can understand why I really would like to take advantage of this opportunity to study at Yale this summer. Without your help I won’t be able to attend. So I ask that you please help me!
We have to make a payment by the end of this week or they will withdraw me from the program, so time is of the essence.
I Thank you in advance and appreciate any donation you are able to make.
Sincerely, G
