Help me go to Worlds with Team Canada!

Hi my name is Sydney Slauko and I have been given the amazing opportunity to join Team Canada and travel to Belgium to compete in the IDO World Jazz, Ballet & Contemporary Championships this November! https://www.ido-dance.com/

I have been dancing competitively since the age of 7. My love for dance has become much more than a hobby but a passion. I have made amazing friends through dance. Dance has also allowed me to learn so much about myself, to grow as a person and now I‘m giving back, teaching other young dancers at my studio.

The costs for flight, ground transportation, hotel, costumes, choreography and competition fees are ~$6,100. My parents pay a lot for my training and local competitions already and I work at my dance studio teaching, cleaning and working in the office to pay for extra dances. Being selected for Team Canada was an unexpected and a wonderful honour but not one we planned for so I want to help my parents out and raise as much of the costs as I can.

This is where I need your help. Please donate whatever you can and share my ask with as many of your acquaintances as possible. Anything I raise over my goal I will share with my team.

Competing at worlds with kids from over 30 nations will be so inspiring, allow me to make friends around the world and give me an amazing experience that I can't wait to share with others. Thank you so much for caring and supporting me and the arts!
