Help Me Go To The European Championships

Welcome to my GoFundMe page! As many of you may already know, I play Flag American Football which I have been playing for 8 years! I play for two womens teams, one called Hyde Park Renegades who are 3 x Silver, 1 x Bronze National Medalists & Internationally for Sacks in The City where I have achieved 3 x International Tournament Wins. Additionally I play for Chichester Sharks Mixed Team in the Adult National League achieving a plate championship win and numerous podium finishes in independent tournaments. These experiences have greatly enhanced my game and have given me the incredible opportunity to be selected to represent Great Britain at the European Championships in Ireland this year, towards the end of August.

I am seeking your support because although the Euros are close to home, Flag Football is classified as an amateur sport, and there is little to no funding available. Every player on the squad is responsible for financing their own way. The annual cost of the sport is several thousands per year, with an estimated cost of £750 to play in the European Championships before additional costs such as flights, training camps, and equipment. This is a significant amount of money to raise in a short amount of time and it is becoming increasingly challenging for me to work full-time, and train for the competition and cover the costs. If I am lucky enough to raise anything over £750, it would go towards any additional equipment/kit/training.

I have always been committed to pursuing this sport and the feeling of pride I get every time I put on that Jersey is indescribable. Representing my country and being part of an amazing team of girls competing to get gold and qualify for the World Championships is an amazing opportunity.
