HELP ME GO TO COLLEGE AT SCAD! REES MURPHY!

My name is Rees Murphy, and if you're reading this I'm asking for your help. I've always wanted to go into the arts, growing up on a diet of cartoon shows and animated films only strengthened that desire, and the more I create the more I realize that at a drawing table making wonderful shows for the world to enjoy is where I belong. My ultimate goal one day is to be a writer and director on an animated production, make my very own show with the help of a team of talented people, and from there-

I'll have Prestige! Popularity! Power! I'll have the world in the palm of my hand!

Or just- be able to show everyone stories that have lived in my mind for years, I'll take either.

To start on that goal I want to go to college for animation, and growing up in Georgia means I'm in the exact same state as one of the most prestigious arts colleges in the world, it's meant to be! The only problem is that the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is extremely expensive.

Very very expensive

Turns out a world class arts education tends to be rather expensive, and while I'm going to save up as much as I can I come from a low income background. When I was first born in Boston Massachusetts I and my mother where homeless, and from there my mom attended a public university while living in a homeless shelter with me in her arms. My mother worked so hard to raise me alone, she clawed us from destitution to survival, brought us to Georgia, and I say- when you start at rock bottom there's nowhere to go but up. The problem is without the funds, I could end up getting stuck there.

I have been accepted to SCAD, have a variety of scholarships and government grants to help, and to keep the costs down I plan to attend GSU for my prerequisite courses, but even than it is prohibitively expensive when you account for not just tuition, but supplies, technology, transportation, car insurance, food, the list goes on. If you've read this far surely your invested, and may I propose investing in my future? Trust me you won't regret it.
