Greetings from Ecuador!

My name is Janeth Jaramillo. I am a Buddhist and Mindfulness meditation practitioner.

For the past ten years, I have been practicing and studying to become a Mindfulness teacher with the intention of sharing the benefits of meditation with people from my Ecuadorian and Latin American communities in Spanish.

I believe that Mindfulness meditation is a powerful way to understand our minds and emotions, and it can make us more conscious and compassionate human beings. Mindfulness can free our minds and heal our hearts!

In order to be a skilled teacher, I need practice...a lot of practice! So, at the end of the year, I signed up for a 3-month meditation retreat in Massachusetts at the Insight Meditation Society. It will be an intense silent retreat, and I will be immersed in deep practice. This will be a very special time for me, a time for healing, learning and transformation. I have been waiting to be part of this retreat for many years, and finally, the time is right, and I can do it!

The purpose of going on a 3-month retreat like this is not only for myself but to be a better and more skillful teacher so I can be helpful to my community.

I need some support to make this retreat happen, so I have created this fundraising campaign to help me cover the travel and tuition fee. The retreat cost is $2,500 plus the traveling costs as I will be coming from South America, which will be around $1,000. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

In exchange for your generous support, I am gifting you with a five-week course on introduction to Mindfulness. You will receive 5 video teachings along with guided meditations and homework instructions to help you deepen your practice and teach you the foundations of mindfulness.
