My name is Michèle, and today I'm asking for help for someone who means the world to me.

This is Myshka, my beautiful 5-year-old Maine Coon. She isn't "just a cat"—she is my family, my best friend, and my daughter in every way that matters. I've never had children, and from the day I brought her home, she has filled my life with unconditional love, comfort, and joy.

A few weeks ago, I noticed she was losing weight rapidly. Even though she was still trying to eat, she continued to get thinner. After an ultrasound, my veterinarian discovered a large mass in her intestines. While we don't yet have a biopsy confirmation, the veterinarian believes it is most likely cancer.

The one piece of hope we have is that the mass appears to be surgically removable.

Unfortunately, I recently went through severe financial hardship and had to file for personal bankruptcy. Because of my current financial situation, I have no access to credit or financing, making it impossible for me to cover the cost of Myshka's surgery on my own.

The estimated cost of the surgery is $4,000 CAD—an amount that is simply beyond my reach right now.

This is why I'm turning to the kindness of others.

I'm not asking for a miracle. I'm asking for the chance to give Myshka every opportunity she deserves. If the surgery is successful, it could give us more time together—or, if nothing else, it will allow me to know that I did absolutely everything I could for her.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward the cost of Myshka's surgery to remove the intestinal mass. If the surgery ultimately cannot be performed because of an unexpected medical reason, any remaining funds will be used solely for Myshka's veterinary care, pain management, and comfort.

If you've ever loved an animal, you know they become part of your heart. The thought of losing Myshka at only five years old is something I can't put into words.
