Hi, my name is Angie, and I am a medical student who recently lost my mother unexpectedly.

Over the past several months, my mom went through an incredibly difficult medical journey hospitalized for 4 months at UW Hospital after a stroke and I had been helping care for and advocate for her throughout her recovery. We were preparing to bring her home this week after months of hospitalizations and rehabilitation, but she unexpectedly passed away on May 9, 2026.

I am raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, including cremation and arrangements to honor her memory and bring her home to Colombia. This loss has been devastating emotionally and financially, and any support, whether through donations, sharing, or prayers, would mean more than I can express.
