Hello my name is Stella and I am a GP Veterinarian. I am raising money for (Gremdolyn) Gremmy’s heart procedure. I first met Gremmy in October while at work. At her first appointment she was diagnosed by a colleague with a severe heart murmur and later that day with pulmonic stenosis. The valve from the right side of her heart to her lungs is too small. She was subsequently given up by her new owners. The shelter made an exception and allowed me to adopt her as a hospice adoption but otherwise she would have been put to sleep. There is a procedure to widen the valve and the Tufts Cardiology Team believes she is a good candidate. Without this procedure she is likely to go into heart failure within the year. The procedure is unfortunately very costly; the current estimate is $7000-$8000. However French Bulldogs often need stents placed as well; if this is the case her procedure bill will likely be closer to 10k.
As adopting her was a last minute decision to keep her from being euthanized I was not financially planning for something like this and already have a special needs pet at home any help is appreciated. All funds will go towards Gremmy’s procedure and veterinary bills.
