HELP ME KEEP GEORGE ❤️

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. Most people who know me know that my life has always revolved around animals. Over the years I’ve fostered 15 dogs, raised thousands of dollars for rescue organisations and animal charities, donated my own money countless times, and dedicated so much of my life to helping animals in need. I never expected that one day I would be the person asking for help for one of my own. But today, I am begging for help to save my dog and keep us together. George is my entire world. He is not “just a dog” to me — he is my family, my best friend, my shadow, and the reason I get through some days. George actually came into my life as a foster dog. Knowing the level of care he would need for the rest of his life — the severe allergies, constant management, daily baths, creams, medications, and lifelong vet visits — I knew most people would never take him on permanently because of how much work and expense he requires. So I did. I chose him because I couldn’t bear the thought of him ending up unwanted or without someone willing to fight for him for the rest of his life. And I have fought for him every single day since. Then after being attacked by another dog, George developed severe fear and anxiety around other dogs. Since then, I have spent over $2,000 trying to rehabilitate him with professional trainers and rebuild his confidence. We were finally making progress.
But recently, while I was training George in a separate special-needs section of the dog park, a man ignored my requests and let his off-lead dog into the area simply to save himself a few minutes of walking. The dog looked extremely similar to the dog that originally attacked George. That one moment undid so much hard work.
George has spiraled backwards emotionally and mentally, and we are now at the point where he desperately needs intensive rehabilitation with experienced behavioural specialists and trained dogs to help him recover properly.
This situation is NOT George’s fault.
And honestly, it isn’t mine either.
I did everything I could to protect him, train him, advocate for him, and help him heal.
But irresponsible people and careless decisions have left us here.
George has now been recommended for a 2-month board-and-train rehabilitation program with professional behavioural specialists so he can safely rebuild his confidence around other dogs and people.

The cost for this program is $7,400.

I’m planning to move into a small coaster bus in the future, and the heartbreaking reality is that if George cannot overcome these trauma responses, living in such a confined space would not be fair on him. The thought of losing him breaks me completely. I can barely type those words without crying. I don’t want to lose my dog. I need help to heal him so we can stay together. If you have ever supported me, my rescue work, my fundraising, or the animals I’ve fought so hard for over the years, I’m asking you now from the bottom of my heart to please help me fight for George. Any donation — even $5 — would mean the world to us. And if you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser could genuinely change George’s future. Please help me save my best friend. ❤️ I dont want to be forced to get rid of my dog we are bonded and he is my family!
