Hi everyone,
My name is Timothy, and this is, without question, the hardest thingI’ve ever had to write.
For a long time, over 2/3 of my life(26 years), I struggled with addiction. It affected every part of my life, including how well I was able to care for the things and people I love the most. On June 10th, I will be celebrating two years free from the drugs that once controlled my life. Getting clean has been the hardest and most important thing I’ve ever done.
Through all of it, one soul never left my side — my dog, Darby.
Even when 95% of my time was spent using or chasing the next high, Darby was there every single day. She never judged me, never walked away, and always greeted me with love. She has been my constant companion, my comfort, and honestly one of the reasons I’m still here today.
Tonight I discovered that Darby has a severely infected anal gland and needs veterinary care immediately. The infection looks serious and could become life-threatening if it isn’t treated quickly. Unfortunately, I’m not in a financial position to cover the emergency vet costs right now.
I hate having to ask for help, but Darby has stood by me through the worst parts of my life. Now it’s my turn to fight for her.
I’m raising money to cover her veterinary exam, treatment for the infection, medications, and any procedures she may need to recover. Every dollar will go directly toward her care.
If you can donate, even a small amount, it would mean the world to us. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser could help us reach someone who can.
Darby has given me unconditional love through my darkest days. I just want the chance to give her the healthy life she deserves.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for helping me give my best friend a chance to heal.
With gratitude,
Timothy & Darby
