Hi, my name is Romy.

Recently, while traveling to Kosovo for work, I met a street dog I can’t get out of my head. She was sitting alone on the side of the road… hungry, tired, but incredibly gentle . I gave her some food, and within minutes she stayed close, followed me, leaned into me, and didn’t want to leave my side.

When I had to leave, she sat next to the car and that moment broke my heart and judging by the messages and reactions on my video, I know it touched many of you too. The next day I looked around for her when I had my return flight but I didn’t see her around.

My goal is to still be able to locate her and get her off the streets, give her proper medical care, and eventually make sure that she has a safe and warm home where she can have a stable and loving life.

The costs involved are unfortunately high: veterinary care, vaccinations, blood tests, temporary shelter, legal documents, transport and travel. I’m willing to do this step by step, but I can’t do this alone.

Any contribution — big or small — helps make this possible. And even if you’re not able to donate, sharing this post already means a lot.

If she isn’t found, all donations will go directly to the animal shelter in Pristina, Kosovo, to help many other dogs who are also in need.
