My 6 Year Old Shiba Inu was hit by a truck the night of October 23rd. Not his fault, my boy got too close to the road, it was dark and he has dark fur, plus the driver didn't stop, doubt he even noticed what happened so I don't know who it was. A friendly bystander behind him informed us. We took him to the Mount Vernon Emergency Pet Center where they put him in a splint & recommended we follow up with our regular vet. Our vet consulted with an orthopedic surgeon who recommends immediate surgery to insert a metal plate into his fractured leg. The total cost was estimated at $4000.
We drained our savings as well as maxed out our care credit between regular dental maintenance and visits. And scratch pay wants almost $400/month for a pre-approved loan which just isn't within our budget since we just recently had a baby.
He was my first baby and he'll get the surgey, but we just don't know how financially right now.

I hate asking for help, but have exhausted all our resources. I've maxed out our Care Credit, emptied our savings, applied for grants (which are currently pending), so asking for donations is our last resort. The vet mentioned above is accepting donations that can go directly towards Yoshi's surgery. Just mention his name (Yoshi Force) as well as mine or Tarans.
Or you can donate here in which the funds will be directly applied to his vet account by me. Anything helps and even a share would be appreciated.
Once sufficient funds have been received, he will be scheduled with an orthopedic surgery asap.
Thank you in advance to the kind individuals who have offered to help our boy, you are a blessing and we will remember to pay it forward
