I am Mr. Qasim Al-Yazji. I am married and have 3 children. I used to live a decent life in the Gaza Strip in the Rimal neighborhood. I used to help people in many matters. The house in which I, my wife, and my family lived was bombed, and I was severely injured in my right leg and hand.

I had platinum installed in my leg and hand... My health condition has deteriorated and I have become unable to control my nerves... as I have become unable to control urine or stool... and now I need to travel outside the country for treatment…

Leaving the country is not easy on me from many factors. First factor is that my children are young and they rely heavily on me. second factor is that there is no source of income to financially sustain leaving the Gaza Strip. I need a sum of money to be able to travel outside Gaza and to be able to coordinate and exit through the Rafah crossing. Traveling now requires a large sum of money to travel and I do not have any capabilities. I need a sum of money approximately 43 thousand Canadian dollars.

In order to travel I must pay in the USD currency $5000 per adult and $2500 per child to the Hala Tourism company in Egypt who will then register my name through Rafah crossing for travel. My travel will cost $17,500 USD. The rest of the amount will be used between living expenses in Egypt and medical treatment for my leg and hand.

After my house was bombed.. Now we live in Salah al-Din School, which is affiliated with UNRWA, and there is no place for us to live.

I am truly in hope from generous people like you that I am able to raise this sum of money and leave Gaza to seek treatment and return as I once was to my children, a capable father. I am hoping to save my children from this nightmare of which they are living… and slowly mentally effecting them and it is all far from my hands to treat them to any better within the Gaza Strip. I am appealing to you to look at my cries of pain and the cries of hunger of my children in order to flee and began a new life slowly but surely.
