Hi, my name is Robert, and I am a dedicated member of Team 1140X Discobots from Brampton Robotics in Ontario, Canada.
After an incredible but challenging season, we’ve qualified to represent Canada at VEX IQ World Championship 2025, which will be happening in May 2025! However, I need your help to make my dream of representing Canada at Worlds a reality.
The Journey to Worlds
Qualifying for the World Championship was far from easy. This year, we competed in eight challenging events across Canada and the U.S., where every competition tested our hard and soft skills—including the engineering design process, writing an engineering notebook, project and time management, coding, a judged interview, and teamwork.
Along our journey, we worked day and night, constantly redesigning, rebuilding, and coding to perfect our robot for the World Championship.
We were one of only 4 teams out of 90 in Ontario to qualify for Worlds, making this achievement even more special!
Our Season’s Awards
Our hard work and dedication have earned us 9 prestigious awards this season:
1️⃣ Teamwork Champion Award – Bot Camp VIQ Competition
2️⃣ Innovate Award – Bot Camp VIQ Competition
3️⃣ Amaze Award – The RiverBots III Signature Event, USA
4️⃣ Teamwork 2nd Place Award – The RiverBots III Signature Event, USA
5️⃣ Design Award – Blended VIQRC Qualifier, January 18
6️⃣ Excellence Award – Blended VIQRC Qualifier, February 8
7️⃣ Excellence Award – Blended VIQRC Qualifier, February 22
8️⃣ 2nd Place Teamwork Award – Ontario VEX IQ Robotics Championship (Provincials)
9️⃣ Design Award – Ontario VEX IQ Robotics Championship (Provincials)
As the main builder, driver, and assistant coder on my team, I have personally put in countless hours perfecting our robot. From designing and building complex mechanisms to practicing match strategies, every moment has led us to this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity at VEX IQ Worlds 2025.
What I Need to Get to Worlds
Despite all the hard work, getting to VEX IQ Worlds comes with significant costs. I need to raise $2,500 to cover:
✈️ Plane Tickets (for me and my parent) – $1,400
Hotel (for 3 nights) – $700
️ Registration Fee – $400
Without this support, I won’t be able to compete alongside my team on the world stage.
How You Can Help
Donate – Even $10 helps!

Support – Your encouragement means everything!
Why This Matters to Me
I want to show everyone that Canada is strong and innovative country!
Also, this isn’t just about competing—it’s about a journey of growth, learning, and perseverance. Robotics has taught me:
✔️ How to solve problems under pressure
✔️ The importance of teamwork and leadership
✔️ That failure isn’t the end, but a step toward improvement
✔️ Innovative and creative thinking
Going to Worlds would be the ultimate reward for all the effort I’ve put in, allowing me to compete with the best teams in the world, meet like-minded students, and further develop my skills in engineering, coding, and design.
This has been a long, challenging journey, but I know that with your support, I can take this final step and make it to VEX IQ Worlds 2025.
Thank You for Your Support!
Any amount helps and gets me closer to my goal. Your support will make this experience possible, and I truly appreciate any help you can provide.
Thank you for being part of this exciting journey with me!
