Help Me Get to USC Graduate Film School

Hi Friends & Family!

I'm so excited to formally announce that I will attend the University of Southern California's Graduate School of Cinematic Arts this Fall. Yes! Crazy! Me, a graduate student? Not only just a graduate student but the recipient of the George Lucas Scholarship for Diversity. A scholarship awarded to only two graduate students per year. Although the scholarship will help significantly in paying for my academic credits, it will do little to move across the country. A feat that I am both excited and terrified to undertake. Here is the part where you come in. Your kindness will help me settle on the West Coast this coming August. I've searched high and low(mostly Zillow) and found a small studio apartment in the Frogtown neighborhood of Los Angeles, a short commute to USC's campus. There will also be furniture and transportation costs that I am figuring into my fundraiser. As my education continues post-Columbia graduation, I look forward to keeping you posted on my journey. A journey that I couldn't have written better myself. Returning to college in the past few years has been beyond my wildest dreams.
