Help me get to the Touch World Cup
Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Oscar Davies & I will be representing Canada at the Touch World Cup in Nottingham in July.
I was born in Canada, Halifax, Nova Scotia to be specific then was moved to Cornwall where I spent most of my life. It was in Truro where I 1st discovered Touch Rugby!
When I was 19 I moved from Truro to London where my Touch journey truly began. I started by joining a local social side, Triple Threat & from there I was scouted for both Club & region. It was at London Scorpions that I met like minded people & very talented Touch players who helped me develop immeasurably as a player and also an adult.
After COVID I started to take Touch very seriously; I took over Triple Threat, it is now the largest touring Touch team in Europe. I took on coaching roles at London Scorpions & an Assistant Coaching role with England Touch working with Andy Penniceard & the England U18 Girls. In 2 years we won 2 golds & went undefeated.
All of this & more has gone into me getting the incredible opportunity to play at the Touch World Cup in July of 2024. However, Touch is a completely self funded sport & not a cheap one at that.
I am asking for you to be generous & donate so that I may be able to afford the remaining fees for the tournament. Your donation will go towards me paying for my accommodation for the week of the tournament & it there is more than needed it will cover costs of my sports tape & other necessities.
Thank you very much,
Kind regards,
Oscar
