Help Me Get to the Paralympics

Thomas' dream is to represent his country at the Paralympics.
To qualify for the Paralympics, Thomas only has to accomplish one thing.
He needs to get his ITF world ranking for men into the top 50.
This is an achievable goal.
Last year he was ranked 546. He is now at 220.
As a junior, Thomas was ranked as high as # 11

To date his training and play have been supported by Tennis Canada, BC Wheelchair Sports Association, and his friends and family.
To improve 175 places, Thomas will need to increase his training to 30 hours per week, combining match play with training sessions, and strength and conditioning in the gym.
Thomas will need to compete in 15 to 20 tournaments each year.
He will also need to get some good results in these tournaments.

The elements of his training include:
- Private one on one coaching sessions
- Group training sessions
- Practice court rental
- Hitting partners
- Sports psychologist
- Strength and conditioning sessions with a trainer
- Group gym sessions
- Nutrition training and implementation
- Travel to tournaments
- Tournament accommodations
- Tournament entry fees
- Sport specific wheelchair
- Tires and tubes
- Racquets and equipment

This will cost more than $45,000 each year.

Thomas has the talent, the desire, and wants to put in the work and effort.
