Help Me Get to the Kerrville Folk Festival and Back on TOUR

Donation protected
I'm trying to raise some funds for several things:

My friend Sean helped to provide me with $1,000 for repairs on my car, as I am a finalist for the Kerrville Folk Festival, and need to get myself to Texas to perform. He just sent the check by mail to me today.

However, when I called my mechanic Harry, he told me that this will not cover all the maintenance on my car—which is at around 130,000 miles currently.

Apparently, aside from the timing belt (and the inflation on the cost of all these parts since I last consulted him in the fall of 2024), I will also need a tensioner, idler pulleys, water pump, serpentine belt, a set of brake pads, and a few other bells and whistles that will make the total closer to $1,200 to $1,400 to get my car in pristine touring order again. If you don't know, a lot of the engine gets pulled out to get to this stuff, so mechanics want a lot for the labor involved.

I still owe my landlord $400 for rent this month. I had a house show on Saturday, April 26th, but the person canceled because they only had 6 people RSVP to the show. I do have a corporate event I'm playing on Sunday, April 27th though. Huzzah.

I am trying to get this repair done before heading out to play the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas in May. Since I am heading all the way out to Texas, I am booking a two or three-week tour while I am over there. I've already lined up a few house concerts and a performance at Central Market. Still working on that.

I'm also booking a tour this summer in the Midwest and hopefully on the East Coast as well. I have dates lined up in Colorado, Nebraska, Illinois, and Michigan so far. Should have dates for these posted soon to Bandsintown.

In addition, all the touring I have done the past four years has practically exhausted my merchandise that I have for sale.

I sold out of all of my compact discs and most of my download cards and T-shirts. It would be a good idea for me to re-up on most of this merchandise as it is getting increasingly more difficult to sell music unless it's vinyl (which I cannot afford to make), given that it's on streaming platforms.

Speaking of streaming platforms, I have released 11 new songs so far since January of 2025.

My plan to release lots of music on all the streaming platforms this year is not slowing down either. I will be releasing my last single for the album DESERT DOGS in May called "Silver Lining," as well as the complete studio album DESERT DOGS.

This costs money every time I distribute music through these distribution services to streaming, and I have $8 in my bank account right now.

In addition, I have three more acoustic tracks and one electric guitar cover of "If I Only Had a Brain" that I will be releasing next month.

I'm balls to the wall. I'm a Tom Petty song. I won't back down.

I would like to make a small dent in my LADWP power bill which I owe a lot of money on: Approximately $2,400.

Going to the dentist would be nice as well as I have a few cavities. It can wait though.
