Help me get to the IASF Cheerleading Worlds

Donation protected

Hi there,

My name is Kelseigh and I am 15yrs old and live in Western Sydney. My biggest dream from when I was only 8 years old was to compete at the prestigious IASF Cheerleading Worlds in Orlando, Florida.

I have lived in Western Sydney my whole life and I attend a local High School in the Blacktown area going into Year 11 this year.
I am proud to not only represent my team, but also my country and my community and to show those who think they can’t live out their dreams that with hard work, commitment and dedication you can.

I fell in love with cheerleading at a local studio back when I was 8 years old, from starting out on a Junior Novice team and not knowing anything about Competitive Cheerleading to now training at one of the most reputable clubs in NSW, Oxygen All Stars Australia in Newcastle (Beresfield) on their Level 6 small coed Worlds team, Immortal.

We train hard and condition our bodies to be the best Athletes we can be, the skill set and mind set needed to be successful in this sport is not only demanding, but more rewarding than anything I have ever done.
I have won State, National and World titles, globing at the IASF (Virtual) Worlds last year taking home second place as well as being awarded Flyer of the year this year.

Being one of the youngest on my team at only 15 years old, and being one of the main Flyers and Tumblers I am so excited to be given the opportunity to live out my Worlds dream in April 2023.

I am also a junior coach at a new local cheerleading studio based in Mount Druitt in Western Sydney called Combat All Stars where I spend the days I’m not training coaching kids as young as 4 years old.
I love being able to teach the younger athletes what I learn and be a positive role model for them and someone they can look up to and learn from.

I have dedicated the last 18 months going to and from training in Newcastle at least 2-3 times a week, sometimes more, spending hours training after school and sometimes not getting home til after 11pm.
The sacrifices I have made to train there, shows just how dedicated and driven I am to succeed.

And without the support of my mum and family none of this would be possible, the sacrifices she makes to allow me to live out my dream and put her own business and other family commitments and responsibilities on hold I am forever grateful for. But I know she wouldn’t have it any other way and supports me and my dreams more than anyone else.

Competitive Cheerleading is an expensive sport and getting an athlete to Worlds can cost upwards of $8000 each. It is more expensive than it has ever been.

I have been working extra hours where I can, doing Flyer and Private tumbling classes to help with the costs of the trip as well as fundraising to help make my dream come true.

But I am still a long way off, I am asking for donations to help cover my costs in getting to the IASF Cheerleading Worlds in Orlando Florida 2023 as well as helping with the travel costs of getting me to and from my Worlds training between January and April 2023 in Newcastle.

I will also be representing Australia at the Nfinity League Championship in Atlanta the week before Worlds with my team Immortal.

If there is any way you can help it would be greatly appreciated and when I am able, I will give what I can back to the community to say thank you for your help and support.
