Hi, my name is Hunter Malyon, and I’m 13 years old. I’m a BMX rider, and BMX has been my passion for as long as I can remember. When I was 3, I was walking through Brockwell Park with my family and we saw the Brixton BMX track. I watched the riders flying over the jumps and I thought:
“Wow… I want to do that!”
And ever since that day, I’ve been hooked.
I’ve trained a lot, travelled around the country for races, and worked really hard to get better. I’ve already raced in two BMX World Championships — one in Glasgow and one in Copenhagen — which were some of the coolest experiences of my life.
And now… I’ve qualified again! This time it’s for the 2026 BMX World Championships in Brisbane, Australia in the Cruiser 13–14 category.
This year is different. I’m older, stronger, and more experienced. I’ve trained so hard for this and I feel like I can really go for a top result this time.
But getting all the way to Australia is really expensive — flights, hotels, bike transport, race fees… it’s a lot for my family to afford on their own. So I’m asking for help from anyone who wants to support me on my journey.
Any donation, even a small one, will help me get one step closer to the start gate in Brisbane.
Thank you so much for helping me chase my dream.
— Hunter
