Hello, my name is Taylor Chan and I am currently a senior at East Career and Technical Academy. Recently, I just competed at the FCCLA State Competition in Reno, Nevada. I came to compete in cupcake decorating and the Culinary Arts cooking Star Event. In coming up to the awards ceremony, I won one of the top three silver medals in cupcakes, as there had been no gold medalist winners. My team and I were then waiting with the other 18 teams in the Culinary cooking competition to see where we had placed and ended up receiving the only gold, as well as two scholarships, putting us in placing for nationals to represent Nevada in Nashville, Tennessee this coming July. Unfortunately, the school can’t provide the eligible nationals students money due to the certain amount of money that was just provided for State. My group and I really want to experience our only chance to represent Nevada in Nashville for that first full week of July. Anything will help, and all will be more than appreciated.. Thank you!
