I want to start by saying requesting this type of help is hard for me. Especially, since I'm the one who usually tries to help others & I usually stay quiet when I need help, due to past experiences.
However, having our baby girl our 1st born, be born into this world has changed my perspectives already. For her, I would do anything.
It was such a difficult pregnancy due to my health issues & my child having growth restrictions. Also, I caught COVID-19 when I was 20weeks pregnant. Became a high-risk pregnancy shortly after. Which made it so that I was unable to secure a job when I had to be at the Dr's every 2days for 2hrs or more. There were a lot of hurdles, to say the least.
Yet by the grace of the creator, our beautiful blessing was born 12/4/21 at 4lbs 8ounces by c-section. Since her birth, she has been in NICU. This has been extremely difficult to deal with, mainly because I've been sent home & she is still in NICU.
This brings me to why & what I need help with. I currently do not have a vehicle. Spokane does not have the best public transportation, I live 1.2miles away from the nearest bus stop. Taking an Uber/Lyft every day is becoming a financial burden as it cost about $40 round trip. Therefore I'm asking for $5,000 to buy a reliable car. This would allow me to get to our daughter in NICU as often as possible, & also provide me with a way to come back home for short breaks & rests when needed to properly recover from my c-section, before going back to be with Alaya in NICU.
I know that the holidays are coming up & everyone is trying to recover from the devastation of COVID-19 & provide a beautiful Christmas/holiday for their families. Therefore I kindly ask for you to bless our family with this request. As the saying goes "be blessed & be a blessing".
I have over 200 friends on Facebook, & if only 200 donated just $25, which is less than a round trip Uber|Lyft fair, I would be able to reach the goal. The sooner I can get this done the easier things will be during this difficult time for our family.
Thank you for taking the time out to read this & for any help, even if it's just sharing the link.
