Hi, my name is Joshua Olan and I’m a junior at Gila Ridge High School. I’ve just been accepted into the 2025 MITES Summer Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). MITES is a 6 week residential program where I’ll be living on campus, attending STEM classes, going on field trips, and meeting other students who are just as passionate about science and engineering. It’s a huge opportunity—not just for academics but for growth and connections.

MIT covers all costs once I’m there. But the one thing I need help with is travel expenses. I’ll be flying from Arizona to Boston and the extra fees bring concerns to my family.
