Help me get to Hyrox Worlds in Chicago!
Donation protected
In two weeks I’ll be flying to Chicago to compete at the Hyrox World Championships, racing alongside the best women in the sport, in the division Singles Pro the 13th of June. Something I didn’t expect would happen so soon, doing my first race ever in Rotterdam this year - but here we are!!! I’ve been training hard to prep for this race, alongside long days at Med school.
I’m currently entering my final year of medical school, which feels so rewarding as I can finally start to specialize in acute medicine - a field I’m passionate about and where I hope to care for patients in critical situations. Throughout the years, I’ve never believed it was impossible to make it to the big stage in sports while building a career in medicine. I just knew it would take hard work, consistency, and patience. That commitment is now paying off, as I’ve earned my first opportunity to compete at the highest level in my sport.
I have to admit, I was so excited for Worlds that I immediately said yes, since this opportunity is one of a kind, but underestimated how expensive this trip would be. Between flights, accommodation, race fees, transport and everything in between, it’s turned into quite a challenge.
So I’ve set up a GoFundMe for anyone who might want to and is able to support me. Every little bit means a lot, absolutely no pressure. Your support will not only help make the Hyrox World Championships possible, but also support my future goals in both sports and medicine. It would be amazing if you or your company could contribute to these dreams.
I’ll drop the link down here and in my bio. If you have any questions or ideas for support in other ways, feel free to reach out!
Thank you SO much for the support I’ve already received. It means a lot!!
