Help me get to Cary, NC for Team USA Baseball

Donation protected
My name is Julian Imposimato. My baseball friends call me “JuJu” for short. I am a 10 year old shortstop and baseball player from Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

For the past few months, I have been trying out to make the Team USA Baseball team, the highest honor a player can achieve in amateur baseball. This week my dream became one step closer to reality, when I was selected as one of top 30 kids in the whole Southwest region, and was invited to play at the Team USA headquarters in Cary, NC next month. While in Cary, I will be examined through comprehensive skills assessments, along with a week long tournament style competition against the other top USA regions and players. If successful, I will need to be 1 out of approximately 100 players chosen to advance to the final 12 selections for next years team trials. A major accomplishment and honor.

A little bit about myself... I have been playing competitive baseball for the past 3 years. I have traveled the country and have won team championships in California, Nevada, Arizona, Florida, and Texas. In 2020, my team won the USSSA Wilson Demarini Elite World Series, and in 2021, won the International World Series. Each of the previous seasons, I have played for teams have been nationally ranked number 1 in the country for our age group.

Over those same few years, I have been blessed with some top personal awards and achievements. Some of those include being selected to 10 different Perfect Game All Tournament Teams, the California All State Games, 20 plus “top performer” selections, and have earned a Perfect Game Tournament MVP award, finishing the 3 day weekend against some of the country’s top talent with a batting average of .688.

As part of my pursuit to play in the big leagues, I work hard on my game everyday. I spend hours at the field hitting, fielding and training, and love every minute of it. As everyone knows, baseball is filled with a ton of ups and downs, and of course to make it, I will need to remain very focused on personal growth in all aspects of the game, which I am very committed to doing.

To conclude, because I have been blessed to travel and play baseball all over the county, there is a huge financial burden and commitment that is placed on my family. I am one of 3 kids, and all of us play competitive sports, so you can imagine what it takes for our family to keep us all on the field playing the sports that we love.

I am hoping that after hearing my story, you will help contribute to my efforts in getting me to Cary, NC next month so I can get one step closer to achieving my dream.

Thank you very much
