Help me get to camp Borneo 2025

Hi my name is Josh, I am 15 and I am excited to have the opportunity to go to Borneo with Camps International on a 4 week expedition. 

While in Borneo I will be helping local communities by getting involved in several projects. This could include:

* Village enhancement projects- such as helping to construct a youth centre, improving drainage systems to ensure clearer and healthier living 

* Habitat conservation- getting involved in activities to safeguard wildlife including orangutans, elephants and proboscis

* Ecotourism and recycling initiatives- providing local people with recycling centres to recycle plastics so it doesn't end up on the beach and constructing ecotourism stalls

Whilst working alongside local people, this will give me chance to learn some traditional Bornean culture. I will be able to practice Malay, learn how to cook and learn skills from local tradespeople. 

I will also get the opportunity to gain a recognised PADI 1 qualification in scuba diving. This is something that I have always wanted to do, and being able to do this in the South China Sea with the opportunity to dive alongside varieties of marine life such as turtles would be something I'd never forget.

In order to be able to experience this amazing opportunity I will need to raise £4980. I hope to get company sponsorship to help raise this money, doing sponsored events and holding other fundraising activities. I will update this page when I finalise my activities and events.
