Hi, my name is Sophia. I have been selected by my high school to attend the Scholars’ Programme at the University of Cambridge in England. This a two-week academic program for high-achieving students from around the world that will commence in July 2026.
Being accepted into this program is a huge honour for me and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It will allow me to study university subjects alongside international peers, build advanced academic skills, and experience one of the world’s most historic universities – all while exploring a little of Britain.
The only barrier is cost - and that’s where I need your help.
The Challenge: 250 Digits of Pi
To help fund this opportunity, I’m committing to a challenge:
I will memorise and recite 250 digits of π (pi) - the never-ending mathematical constant. Not just 3.14… but 250 digits of precision, focus, and persistence.
How You Can Support
You can sponsor my challenge by donating per digit, or by donating an amount you feel comfortable with:
• 10 cents per digit → $25
• 20 cents per digit → $50
• 50 cents per digit → $125
• Or simply donate whatever you feel comfortable with
Every contribution, big or small, moves me one digit closer to Cambridge.
I’m putting in the work. I’m taking on the challenge. I just need help covering the costs to get there.
Proof
I’ll post a final video of my full 250-digit pi recitation, so you can see that every cent you have donated has been earnt, digit by digit.
Thank you for supporting my dream of studying at Cambridge - and for believing in a little bit of mathematical madness.
