Hey gang. First the good news. I have an anonymous donor who wants to give me a kidney! After many hoops the surgery is set for January 23rd, 2024! I’m so thankful and humbled by the generosity in people. So, the bad news is that the universe seems to be trying to throw as many hurdles as possible in my way, right when I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. I had a big problem with dialysis that required a hospital visit to put in an emergency catheter. Before I did dialysis at home, now I have to drive up an hour each way to Hyannis three times a week. Besides this new kind making me feel terrible, I’m really worried about the gas money. I worked all summer and should be getting unemployment but I filed before my employer had submitted wages and now I had to appeal! Who knows when it’ll be resolved? I’m really anxious, more so than I’ve ever been. Sleep never comes. But if I can just get through the lead up to surgery, through surgery, and after when I’m flat on my back for a while I know I can pick up where I left off. Then I can resume work next season and hopefully have a whole new life where I can help people rather than always asking for their help ❤️
