Help me get through Slade!
I have been given a place at one of the top Art Schools in the country, the Slade at UCL. In just over a month I will begin a two-year, full-time, Master of Fine Art in Sculpture. Each year Slade accepts only 15 sculpture students worldwide, and I am so proud and happy to be one of them! This experience will change my life and allow me to really develop my career as an Artist.
Unfortunately, Slade wasn’t able to support me with the few scholarships they have available. I will receive a loan from the government for some of the cost, meaning I’ll have to fund the rest of the course myself.
Course Fees for the 2-years: £20,300
Loan from Government: £10,906
Fees remaining to pay: £9,394
(I was wrong in the video, I slightly misread the course fees and above is the correct amount)
Also, I’ll need to live in London for two years which we all know is expensive. Below are some examples of my outgoing payments while in London and what different donations could give me.
£5 - Bike puncture repair kit
£25 - Household bills for a week
£40 - Food for a week
£50 - Lunch at the student refectory for a week
£100 - Art materials for a month
£194 - Tube pass for a month
£200 – Courses books for a year
£220 - New bike to use the tube less
£600 - Rent for a month
£4,697 - Remaining tuition for one year
£9,394 - Remaining tuition for both years
£21,862 - Grand total for the two years including everything above.
You can see why I’m asking for your help. All donations will allow me to spend more time doing what I love. If you can’t help me financially, you can still help me enormously by sharing this page with others!
Through Go Fund Me I will receive 97.1% of all donations and if I don’t reach my goal, I still keep every donation.
Together we can do this! IT’S THE SLADE!?!?
