Help me get through my health issues

Hello, my name is Doug and I'm hoping to raise some funds to get me through my current round of medical issues. I was diabetic for more than 40 years and the disease caused a long list of troubles. It has been ten years since the transplant that allowed me to back to life. Late last year they diagnosed me squamous cell carcinoma on my face. A MOHS surgery and reconstruction removed the carcinoma and I seemed to be healing well. Sadly, one portion of the wound was not healing and they discovered that the cancer had returned. A far more serious surgery is needed to remove this round of cancer, but as tests were done they discovered trouble with my heart that needs to be corrected before the surgery for the cancer can be done. A check of my teeth also discovered the need for most of them to be removed prior to us moving ahead with anything. This one thing after another has got me at my wits end and I'm looking for some assistance until I return to work. The experts are talking about at least a week of recovery after the heart surgery and another after the cancer removal. Assuming all goes as planned that would keep me out of work for an entire month and my savings won't cover it, or even come close.

This is my first attempt at raising money through this venue and I'm not certain of results but look forward to some generous people sending donations to ease that portion of my trouble.

I have a very positive attitude about the entire series of events with the exception of the financial aspect. Family and friends offer support but mostly emotional.
