Help Me Get Through My Bereavement Leave

Donation protected
EDIT: I am bringing this back because I was terminated from my job at the start of January due to my employer being unhappy with how much time I took off for my bereavement and worsening chronic health issues related to stress. I submitted an unemployment claim, but it has been 10 days and despite giving me a monetary determination, the MA DUA has yet to decide whether or not that money will actually be released to me.

HOPEFULLY they will soon but until then, any additional assistance would be appreciated to help keep me afloat.

My mother recently passed away following a couple month struggle with an unexpected illness, just when I thought she was on the mend.

Between the suddenness of the loss of someone so close to me, the holiday season, and the fact that I was already struggling with mental illness and chronic pain, I ended up taking 7 days off of work. My workplace also did not open the day after Christmas.

Unfortunately, my work does not offer any PTO. Now on top of the stress I am already under, rent and monthly expenses are coming up. Money is a difficult subject for me mentally and emotionally even when I am doing well. I also have travel plans in January I intend to keep to maintain joy. I have only $58 in the bank at the tine of writing.

My $705 goal is to cover my half of rent ($675) and a few monthly bills for streaming service and the like. If I make anything over this goal it will most likely be used for food and self care items.
