“This is very unusual” “I’ve never seen anything like this” “I’m not sure how to help”

Phrases like this have popped up continually and consistently in the past five years of my life since starting to treat what I thought was a simple shoulder injury. I have since then come to find that it is an injury that totally overtakes the entire entirety of my body and causes me more physical, mental, and emotional stress than I think I could put into words. This injury has cost me job opportunities, nights with my friends, intimacy with my partner, and even just time to myself. Very honestly, my quality of life out of 10 is at a 2 and has been for some time.

Recently, I was denied physical therapy treatment because I have not had the ability to get medical treatment through hospitals or insurance, and don’t have the x-rays and MRIs that would make a PT able to properly diagnose and treat my condition and it’s nebulous nature. And so, with my back against the wall, I am asking for your help in being able to obtain this information and be able to get the help that I need.

I know with no uncertainty that if I do not get treatment for this condition and heal, I will not be able to move forward in life in any meaningful capacity, including being a filmmaker, husband, and father.
