I’m starting this fundraiser for myself because after multiple medical issues, I had to have all of my teeth removed, and I have now been without teeth for 2 years. This has affected so much more than just my appearance. I can’t smile the way I used to, I have trouble eating the foods I want, and sometimes it is difficult to speak clearly. On top of that, my face is beginning to change shape from not having teeth. I originally hoped to get implants, but because of my health issues, I was told they would not last. I was then referred to a specialty denture maker after a very difficult extraction by a dental surgeon in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, which resulted in part of my upper jawbone being removed and complications that left very little support for an upper denture.

Because of all of this, I need snap-in teeth instead of traditional dentures that will not stay in place. These funds will help me afford the treatment I need so I can eat what I want, speak more clearly, smile again, and help preserve the shape of my face. I am feeling desperate to get something done, and this has been an emotional and physical struggle for a long time. If you are able to help, I would be deeply grateful for any amount you can afford.
