Some of you know my Nissan was totalled on October 10th. I was not at fault and did not receive a ticket. Thankfully, my boys were not with me and I only obtained minor injuries. I had just paid the car off in March and was finally getting ahead since I didn't have a car payment on me. Some of you also know I recently moved into my own apartment in Forest City, so going into debt for another car isn't a move I can make financially right now.

The insurance company will be sending me a check this week for about half of what I paid for the car 5 years ago, a little over $5,300. I need something very reliable, as I have to travel a lot for my two sons and sometimes for work. I'm having trouble finding anything within that price range that isn't completely eaten up in miles.

I'm very independent, so just asking for help is difficult. However, if you'd like to throw a little something my way to help me find a reliable vehicle,  or to extend my rental (the insurance company is only covering until 11/2) it would be most appreciated.
