I have a dream.

Not a big dream. I'm not asking for a yacht, a Lamborghini, or one of those refrigerators with a television in the door.

I just want to become financially stable enough to waste $20.

You know the kind of $20 I'm talking about. The $20 you spend on something completely unnecessary and then don't spend the next three days thinking, "Well... that was probably a mistake."

I would like to experience that someday.

Unfortunately, at the moment, I'm nowhere near that level of reckless financial prosperity.

Things have gotten genuinely difficult. I'm trying to get back on my feet, get my transportation situation straightened out so I can work consistently, keep gas in the vehicle, cover basic expenses, and make sure my pets have what they need.

So I decided that if I'm going to ask the internet for help, I might as well give everyone something to laugh about while doing it.

Therefore:

**THE OFFICIAL GOAL IS $20.**

If you donate $1, you've financed 5% of my future irresponsible purchase.

If twenty people donate $1, I will have achieved something economists previously considered impossible:

**Disposable income.**

Now for the serious part.

I'm not actually planning to blow the money on something stupid.

Money raised will go toward the very unfunny things I currently need: transportation expenses, gas so I can work, food and necessities for myself and my animals, and getting some breathing room while I work on becoming financially stable again.

If this fundraiser somehow goes beyond $20, that's where the joke gets even better... because every dollar will help me get closer to the day when losing $20 won't feel like a financial emergency.

If it raises exactly $20?

Mission accomplished.

If it raises $50?

People clearly didn't read the instructions.

If it raises $100?

I'm contacting an accountant.

If it raises $1,000?

I may have dramatically underestimated the internet.

And if this ridiculous thing somehow goes completely off the rails, I'll keep posting updates so everyone who contributed can enjoy watching me attempt to comprehend what happened.

You absolutely do not have to donate. Sharing this with somebody who could use a laugh helps too.
