Help me get on both feet

Donation protected
In 2013, I was hit by a drunk driver while on my motorcycle and in turn lost my left leg below the knee and shattered my femur (left leg).  Over the past 7 years I have had tremendous pain and numerous infections on my leg. For the last two years, I have been dealing with a large bone spur at the end of my amputated leg and a neuroma in the leg causing intense pain, even when just walking or sitting. I can literally never be comfortable while in a prosthetic. I was active before the accident and have attempted many times since to get back to the level of activity as before. In some cases, I have exceeded my previous activity level but for these two years with the bone spur, I have not been able to bike or hike or chase my kids without incredible pain. Then, there's the mental pain, which I cannot even explain. When I lost my lower leg, the doctor had threatened to take above the knee if I got an infection. For 7 years, I have feared this. Doing "too much" has caused infections and therefore my "matter" has lost to the "mind" and I fear doing any working out. I have worked with 7 different prosthetic professionals and had 9 or more prosthetics built... I've lost count... nothing works for my structure and my activity desires.

Solution: I have found a surgeon who will preform Osseointegration on my leg. They will implant a metal rod into my amputated limb, which will attach directly to the metal rod and foot on the outside of the leg. Osseo creates a better awareness of the amputees limb and body and reduces pain from nerve issues. In addition, it allows more function and activity with no chance of prosthetic rubbing and infection or pain associated with moving parts. The surgery comes with great costs, long periods of time away from my home and children, and breaks from work. In total, I will be down for 10 weeks, but after recovery I will be (in my kids words) a super robot. Lol. I look forward to just playing with the kids without pain or fear of infection from rubbing prosthetic parts. I look forward to biking and losing the extra pounds. I look forward to never sitting thru hours of prosthetic builds again.

Can you join me on this journey? A donation will help me pay for surgery costs, travel to Colorado for surgery and accommodations while there for 4 weeks. I really need your help to make this dream come true. I'd really like to raise enough to get my family out to visit me while I'm in Colorado, but I am asking for only the minimum to get my surgery done... If someone's kindness leads to a larger donation, my family would surely be grateful.
May God bless you. Thank you for reading and considering this.
