I'm honoured to share that my work 'INVISIBLE THREADS', a mixed-media cyanotype series about my journey with chronic illness is selected for FLARE, an art exhibition in New York created by and for women with endometriosis.

The reason I created this project was not only a way to process my pain, but mainly to raise awareness of a condition that affects millions, yet often remains unseen, misdiagnosed for years (an average of 7-9 years) and misunderstood.

After personally struggling, suffering and begging for years I finally got surgery this June and finished this project right on time, one day before surgery. Now two months later I feel like I can finally breath again. It stays a chronic illness but it feels like a fresh start for me. I learned that community is everything and especially to surround yourself with others who are going through the same. That's why I'm so proud that we will come together as artists with endometriosis from all over the world in New York to bring visibility to those invisible stories.

I've created the biggest piece of art I've ever made and it's also my most personal and meaningful project to date. But as an emerging artist, the costs of materials and shipping the work overseas to New York exceed what I can currently afford. Asking for financial support doesn't come easy to me, but i'm deeply passionate about this project and truly believe in the message behind it.
