Hey yall! I’ve been in the process of getting top surgery for three years, after countless appeals with my insurance, letters, and therapists. I have finally been approved by my insurance, and have my surgery scheduled in September, but am not only needing to pay 2000$ for the surgery, but an additional 2000$ in outpatient costs and 500$ in anesthesia fees that I found out a few days ago. I am wanting to get this surgery as soon as possible before the 2024 election, as i live in a red state, and am concerned about my ability to get my surgery covered in the future. There is a recent law passed that my state insurance has to cover trans related surgeries that posted to some major backlash, and i suspect will be repealed in some form or another as soon as the opportunity is available to them. This is how much is left after insurance, and after mulling it over and discussing with friends and family, i realize how important it is for me to get this surgery as soon as possible.

I moved out of my parent’s home on my 18th birthday to pursue starting my transition, and my life feels so much brighter since beginning testosterone. My top surgery will be the final step in my process to being comfortable in my skin, and any financial assistance you can offer will be monumentally appreciated. I have never attempted to fundraise before, but promise i will make an effort to give back into the community every cent i receive on this platform.

This money will go towards my immediate surgery costs, and with hope the time i spend off work during recovery will be able to come out of my own pockets. I won’t ask for a cent more than i need. Thank you. Seriously.
