Help Me Get My Racing Topper and Chase My Olympic Dream
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Archie, I’m 12 years old, and I’ve been sailing for just 2 years, starting out at Haversham Lake in Milton Keynes and Dovey Yacht Club in Wales.
Earlier this year, I had the incredible opportunity to train with Rebecca Coles, a rising star in offshore sailing. I also trained with James Crossley, a talented skiff and foiling sailor who placed 5th in the 2024 29er World Championship, putting him among the very best in the world.
These experiences were through the Aberdyfi Hwylio Squad, thanks to the support of Seacat Services.
In July, I sailed in my first competitive race for the Milton Keynes and Bucks Squad at the NSSA Nationals in Rutland. It was amazing, I was able to compete thanks to a boat loaned to me by Haversham Sailing Club.
Seacat Services supported me again with a coaching trip to the National Sailing Centre in Portland and Weymouth. Thanks to Dovey Yatch Club, I was able to loan a boat so I could participate. Being at the world-class, Olympic-level facilities has only made me more determined. My dream is to one day race at the Olympics.
However, I don’t have my own boat, and it’s holding me back. Having a competitive racing Topper 5.3 with trailer and kit would let me train regularly, build my skills, and work toward my long-term ambition.
What I’m fundraising for:
- A very good second-hand Topper 5.3 racing rig and sail
- Launching trolley and road trailer to reach events
- Boat cover and kit to keep everything in great condition
How you can help:
Every donation, big or small, brings me closer to owning my own racing Topper. In return, I’ll share my sailing journey so you can see exactly how your support is helping me grow as a sailor.
Thank you so much for believing in me!
